# Apex Definition

The **highest or the uppermost point from the object's base** is known as the **apex**. It is also called as peak, top, or summit of an object.

Moreover, an apex is a vertex where two or multiples sides or lines meet together, and the location of the apex is overhead to the base of an object.

In **geometry**, an **apex **is defined as the **vertex having the highest or the maximum distance from the base of a shape** to which it belongs.
